SCCA celebrates its night of nightsQIC Global Real Estate’s Westpoint in Sydney has taken out the industry’s highest honour at this year’s Shopping Centre Council of Australia (SCCA) Marketing Awards.The SCCA’s major award, The Sabina Rust Memorial Prize for Campaign of the Year, was presented to QIC Global Real Estate’s Westpoint in Sydney for its marketing campaign, ‘Fashion Ink’. Michelle Clark, Westpoint marketing manager, accepted the cash prize of $20,000. The runner-up for the Campaign of the Year award was the GPT Group for its ‘Rooftop Tennis Club Courts Sales’ campaign at Melbourne Central. Fifty-six finalists, comprising managers/owners from 19 separate shopping centres, were announced in the 2014 Shopping Centre Council of Australia Marketing Awards, which were held at a sold-out gala dinner at Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom on 22 October. The awards give shopping centres throughout Australia the opportunity to be recognised in several marketing categories, as well as the chance to win the Sabina Rust Memorial Prize for Campaign of the Year. The Campaign of the Year award is named for the former managing editor of Shopping Centre News, who passed away in May and who was instrumental in resurrecting the awards for shopping centre marketing.The full list of winners can be viewed here.
