RPS AAP are not only proud partners of PCA SA Future Directions, we are also proud to be affiliated with Legacy Australia and value the inspiring work they do. Along with the usual contributions to fund raising appeals and assisting with events, we have recently expanded our support to Legacy with a co-designed mentoring program that sees Legacy beneficiaries matched with RPS staff that volunteer their time to offer career coaching and mentoring.
‘RPS history is deeply intertwined with Australian Defence and its personnel’ said Ross Thompson, RPS Chief Executive Officer for RPS AAP. ‘Our Australian project management offering was established by consultants who had served”professionals with a vision to support Defence projects through consultant services that are uniquely attuned to the structures, process and needs of the sector.
‘The Department of Defence is still one of our biggest clients here in Australia, and many ex-Defence personnel have become part of the RPS family following their time in the military. This partnership is a great way for RPS to give back to the community and provide positive, practical support that helps families thrive,’ he said.
Nationally, RPS recently took part in an Anzac Day Bake Off with Legacy. Locally, RPS battled against the Legacy crew, the morning consisted of individual submissions and team submissions with varying levels of ‘ok’ to ‘delicious’ Anzac biscuits. The Anzacs not consumed during the competition, were donated to the Hutt St Centre and were gifted to their clients. The RPS Adelaide team hope the Hutt St Centre clients enjoyed their biscuits as much as we enjoyed taking part in this event. Nationally RPS raised over $3,000 to donate to Legacy.
Legacy in South Australia supports over 4200 families throughout the state and relies on the generous support of corporate and individual donors. To learn more, go to adelaidelegacy.org.au
