TPG + Placematch development plan for Rosewood has been approved
The Property Council welcomes the Metro West JDAP’s approval of Rosewood’s $74 million aged-care redevelopment in West Perth.
After review, the Metro West Joint Development Assessment Panel unanimously approved the 152-bed aged care home, to include a $0,000 restoration of the heritage Florence Hummerston Lodge.
Rosewood chief executive Mario Zulberti said there has been substantial revisions to the original proposal and the approved plans includes changes to the façade and reduction in height. It was a significant win for Rosewood, nine months after the initial application with the City of Vincent, was the retention 152 beds, and the superior care outcomes to include dementia specific services. However, additional services including medical consulting rooms and a pharmacy were cut from the plans.
TPG + Placematch delivered the development plan on behalf of Rosewood.
The Property Council provided a submission to the City of Vincent on the initial development plan. While we welcome the approval of the redevelopment it is disappointing that additional amenities including the medical consultancy rooms and pharmacy will not be included as part of the new facility. These amenities would have been beneficial to the wider community.
