RLC President steps down
After three years as President of the Retirement Living Council (RLC), Alison Quinn is stepping down from the role as she departs as CEO of RetireAustralia.
Ms Quinn has been president of the RLC, the national leadership group of the retirement living sector, since February 2016.
“My time as President of the Retirement Living Council has been one that I have thoroughly enjoyed,” said Ms Quinn.
“As a sector we have made real progress, forging closer relationships with resident leaders and achieving outcomes that will make a significant positive impact on the lives of residents who make the wise move to live in a retirement village.”
Ben Myers, Executive Director – Retirement Living at the Property Council of Australia, said Ms Quinn had been a tireless representative of the industry who had overseen many achievements during her term as President.
“Under Alison’s steady leadership, the retirement living industry has navigated some big issues and challenging times, and implemented many important initiatives,” Mr Myers said.
“The industry’s 8-point plan, new accreditation scheme and code of conduct, and the ‘A Wise Move’ campaign and website all came to life in large part to Alison’s strong vision for where our industry needs to be in order to be prosperous in the future.”
“On behalf of all Retirement Living Council members, I want to thank Alison for her time and dedication to the role of President and look forward to her remaining a strong advocate for the industry.”
Ms Quinn will formally step down as President and a new leader will be elected at the RLC’s first meeting for the year on 15 February.
