Rising Stars Recognised and Promoted

Meet some pivotal people who are raising the bar at DW Fox Tucker.  It’s good to give credit where it’s due… especially when there’s so much of it.

From young guns, to gurus, and everyone in between… we’re lucky to have the lot at DW Fox Tucker. As our valued clients and contacts, we’d like to take a few minutes to mention some team members on the rise.

Lisa Harrington – From senior associate to director

Ambition and drive to gets things done.

Lisa’s stunning legal career began with one day’s work experience back in 2006. From day one Lisa was a “gun”, with the perfect blend of drive, determination and talent to make things happen. By the time Donaldson Walsh merged with Fox Tucker in 2014, Lisa was an experienced senior associate with a highly successful practice across commercial, property, wine, hospitality and agribusiness.

Everyone at DW Fox Tucker agrees that Lisa is part of the “A Team” when it comes to building strong professional networks within her chosen industries. She’s a master at building relationships and establishing crucial contact groups throughout key associations. This ensures she has an innate understanding of legal issues from her clients’ point of view, allowing her to manage all facets of a matter before closing a deal when the time is right. A genuine desire to help generate progress and growth has seen Lisa hold a number of board and committee memberships over the years, and her development of our prosperous Hospitality & Licensing practice (completely from scratch) is the stuff of legends.

Eddy Nehme – From associate to senior associate
Business. Tax. Property. And everything in between.

Eddy Nehme is an exemplary example of how a legal profession can take you anywhere you want it to go. Starting out as a tax specialist solicitor whilst completing a Masters in Taxation at Donaldson Walsh, Eddy quickly set about applying his skill set across commercial industries. Within a year he made associate and had effectively branched out into commercial, property, hospitality, licensing and franchising.

These days Eddy focuses on assisting small to medium businesses with state tax, commercial, property and hospitality related matters.  Eddy has established strong working relationships with business owners in the SME space and his passion for working closely with this sector is exemplified by being a key referrer of work to several of the firm’s practices. He is also a regular presenter of client seminars and was a finalist in the 2016 Tax Institute’s Tax Advisor of the Year Awards (“emerging tax star” category).

Morgan Muirhead – From lawyer to associate
Natural intellect for corporate law & IP.

Morgan cut her incredibly sharp teeth with a national firm, practicing in corporate and resources law for several years, before joining Fox Tucker in 2012. Now, as a member of the DW Fox Tucker team, she continues to offer her clients leading-edge commercial, investment, not-for-profit and resources and energy expertise across Australia, the USA and China. More recently Morgan has been mastering the complicated challenge of Intellectual Property, so there’s something else our clients don’t have to worry about.

Under the wing of our preeminent IP guru Sandy Donaldson, Morgan has notched up a number of fine accomplishments. Our favourites include her flawless project management of the firm’s trademark portfolio, and her impressive contribution to the IP practice with her work on start-ups and brand protection strategy.

Tarley Leideritz – From lawyer to associate
A rising star in litigation, disputes & insolvency.

Tarley is a delightful homage to the old school rule that hard work pays off. In hardly anytime at all after joining Donaldson Walsh as a law clerk, she now finds herself as an esteemed DW Fox Tucker associate in our Dispute Resolution & Insolvency practice. And when we say “esteemed”, that word is not used lightly. A client recently wrote to describe himself as “in awe” of Tarley’s skills. Her boss openly describes her as a “superstar”.

No-one can predict where such a young, promising career may end up, the professional potential is too huge to second guess at this stage. But what we do know is that Tarley’s love for commercial litigation, and the tenacity with which she approaches it, will ensure she has a long and illustrious career at DW Fox Tucker.

Consistent personal development and recognition where it’s deserved play a pivotal part in ensuring we have the best people, in the best place, looking after you in the best possible way.
