RIS on on-supply customers
The Department of Energy and Water Supply has released a Regulatory Impact Statement on the potential mandatory provision of electricity rebates for on-supply customers and widening the availability of the Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland (EWOQ).
On-suppliers include owners of retirement villages, manufactured homes parks, boarding houses, caravan parks and aged care facilities.
The Regulatory Impact Statement outlines three options for administering energy rebates to eligible residential customers, and two options for improving small on-supply customer access to EWOQ.
Public consultation on the RIS will be open until January 29. Submissions on the proposals can be lodged here.
