Revitalising Newcastle – Have your sayRevitalising Newcastle is a community engagement program aimed at involving as many people as possible in shaping the future of Newcastle city centre.UrbanGrowth NSW are seeking ideas and feedback on four opportunities to revitalise the city centre, which have been prepared following community feedback gathered last year during Design Newcastle, as well as guidance from Newcastle City Council, urban planners, architects and city renewal experts. These opportunities seek to respect the city’s unique and significant heritage, while strengthening its position on the regional, national and international stage. They also want to hear other ideas for creating a vibrant city centre.The Revitalising Newcastle community engagement program will be the final step in formulating an overall Transformation Plan for Newcastle city centre. Consultation on individual projects will occur in future, but this is your best chance to influence the broad plan.A range of community engagement activities have been planned until 18 September 2015 to ensure people can be involved.
