Retirement Village Act amendments implementation 

Following the passing of the housing reform legislation in November 2017, the Property Council has sought to engage with the Department on the implementation of both the Retirement Villages Act and Manufactured Home Parks Act.

In March, the Department revealed that the implementation would be split into 3 stages.  With the first stage focusing on precontractual disclosure.

The Department has now released a timeline for the various implementation activities, primarily involving the development of associated regulations. Remarkably the final stage of implementation is not scheduled until January 2020.
