Retirement census commences 19 July 2021

The annual PwC/Property Council Retirement Census data collection will commence on Monday, 19 July 2021 and all retirement village operators are invited to participate.

Now in its eighth year, the Retirement Census is Australia’s most comprehensive aggregated data source about retirement villages. It profiles physical characteristics of villages, ownership details, residents, business, attributes, sales, health and wellbeing, contracts, technology and future development.

Why participate?

Participating village operators will receive a free data-rich Analysis Report by PwC which enables them to benchmark their business against the sector and keep up to date with industry trends and insights. The Retirement Census help increase the transparency of the sector in order to promote investment, and provide us with reliable data for lobbying on industry’s behalf, as well as wider education and research.

How to participate

To participate, village operators need to complete a spreadsheet of 100 data fields during the data collection period (19 July to 27 August 2021).

If you’re a Property Council retirement village operator member, we’ll contact your “Member Rep” with instructions on how to participate.

Other retirement village operators can register their interest in participating here or by emailing [email protected].

Published reports do not reveal the identity of participating village operators. Our Confidentiality Statement contains further information about how we use the data.
