Residential Think Tank Breakfast
The Property Council this week kicked off its annual Think Tank series by bringing together leading experts to discuss their perspectives on the outlook for Victoria’s residential property sector.
The event, moderated by Urbis Director Sarah Horsfield began with a briefing from Nerida Conisbee, REA Chief Economist, on the state of the residential market. Nerida deep dived into the health of the local apartment market, and across Melbourne’s diverse and geographically distinct greenfields markets. This was followed by a robust discussion with Peet’s Senior Development Manager Penny Forrest, and the CEO of Glen Eira City Council, Rebecca McKenzie.
In the second session, audiences heard from Victoria’s best innovators on what they are doing to create more affordable housing in the future. Presenting under the challenging title of 21st Century Affordable Housing Product, Tony Arnel (Global Director Sustainability, Norman Disney & Young), John Luchetti (Hydraulic and Fire Protection Section Manager, Wood & Grieve Engineers) and Warren McGregor (CEO, PrefabAUS Limited) spoke to the latest innovations in building product, construction and design, and how they will shape the affordability and productivity challenges.
Combined with insightful questions from our audience, the Think Tank provided attendees with a value for all attendees.
The Property Council would like to thank our partners Maddocks and Mirvac for their support.
