Recognising Objectors Bill Hearing

On 10 July, the Property Council will be providing evidence at a public hearing into the Planning and Environment Amendment (Recognising Objectors) Bill 2015.

The inquiry will gauge stakeholder views on the proposed amendment to the Planning and Environment Act 1987 so VCAT or the responsible planning authority takes consideration of the number of objectors in planning decision making.

The Property Council is urging the State Government to consider the damaging consequences of the Bill for both the industry and the economy.
