Queensland Plan Bill introduced to parliament

Queensland Plan Bill introduced to parliamentOn 26 August, the Queensland Plan Bill 2014 was introduced into Parliament by the Premier, Hon. Campbell Newman MP. The Queensland Plan provides a 30-year strategic vision for the future growth and prosperity of Queensland. The Bill provides for the development and implementation of a Queensland Plan, as well as for the establishment of the Queensland Plan Ambassadors Council to promote awareness of, advocate for, and advise on, the Queensland Plan. Kathy Mac Dermott, Queensland Executive Director of the Property Council, has been appointed as a member of the inaugural Ambassadors Council. The Bill has been referred to the Finance and Administration Committee, which is to report back to Parliament by 10 October. More information can be found here.
