Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Plan of Development
Economic Development Queensland has begun assessment of the Destination Brisbane Consortium’s Queen’s Wharf Brisbane PDA Development Application, after the 10,000 page Plan of Development was lodged at the end of May.
The application contains a site masterplan, technical surveys and assessments, and other maps and documents that outline how the proposal complies with the Government’s assessment requirements.
The Property Council has strongly supported the designation of Queen’s Wharf as a Priority Development Area and the proposed development scheme, which will facilitate the transformation of this underutilised section of the CBD into an iconic, globally recognized tourism and mixed-use precinct, which will be of benefit to all Queenslanders.
A legislated assessment process will see EDQ now conduct an initial review of the application before opening a 30-business day public consultation period.
