Close contacts
The Queensland Government has announced that quarantine requirements have been removed for close contacts.
These measures will only apply to close contacts without symptoms.
Close contacts who have symptoms of COVID-19 will be required to test and to isolate until these symptoms resolve, even if they return a negative RAT result.
Critically, asymptomatic close contacts must wear a mask outside their home for seven days and will need to have a negative test every two days since from becoming a close contact.
Overseas travellers
From Thursday April 28, unvaccinated travellers are allowed to enter Queensland without having to quarantine.
Regardless of whether they are vaccinated, or not international arrivals will still need to return a negative COVID-19 test with 24 hours of arrival.
