QLD PROPERTY COUNCIL MEMBERS GET EXCLUSIVE LOOK AT QUEEN’S WHARF WATERLINE PARK

Property Council took over 40 property professionals on an exclusive site tour of Brisbane’s newest public space, Queen’s Wharf Waterline Park.

Destination Brisbane Consortium with contractor Multiplex have upgraded and transformed an aged part of the backend of Brisbane into an active destination including Waterline Park, Mangrove Walk and the upgraded bicentennial Bikeway.

Attendees were split into groups and toured around the exciting new development including a walk-through Brisbane’s newest Riverwalk – The 4 metre Mangrove Walk. The Mangrove Walk is now in position with all precast sections having been successfully placed in the river with Indigenous designs providing depth of experience to the walk.

The Bicentennial Bikeway upgrade between QUT and 1 William Street is nearing completion with a significant upgrade to the alignment and surface finish. When completed it will provide a separate 2-metre wide pedestrian path and 3-metre-wide cycleway.

The first stage of Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is due to open before Christmas.

Special thanks for our event sponsors, Destination Brisbane Consortium and Multiplex.
