The Queensland Government has released the final report of the independent review of timeframes for exit payments in Queensland retirement villages and their response to the recommendations.
The Queensland Government is now inviting feedback in a survey from residents, their families, operators and other interested parties to share their feedback on the impacts of the recommendations, their response and how to best implement them.
It is important to note that in the final report that consumer protection has been noted as a priority and the recommendations laid out appear to have been accepted by government. Operators need to give honest and detailed responses to the feedback survey.
