Proposed Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme Amendments

Sunshine Coast Council has opened up public consultation on a range of site specific amendments to the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014.

The proposed amendments will affect the zoning and the ‘Heights of buildings and structures overlay’ for 19 specific sites in Buderim, Chevallum, Dicky Beach, Eerwah Vale, Golden Beach, Kenilworth, Kunda Park, Landsborough, Little Mountain, Maleny, Mount Coolum, Pelican Waters, Witta and Woombye.

The changes are designed to assist in delivering desired future land uses including, educational, retirement and residential care projects.

A range of other amendments included in the package seek to address other operational matters to improve the clarity and efficiency of the planning scheme.

Consultation on the amendments will be close on 7 September 2018.
