PA2016/0169 This amendment is intended to streamline the planning consent process by;Reducing the number of minor or ancillary developments that require consent;Increasing flexibility in some development provisions to reduce the number of minor variations requiring consent. The amendments primarily affect high volume/small scale/low risk development types, some which relate to extensions of low residential buildings.The proposed amendment will:Introduce the following clauseClause 7.3.7 (Reduced setbacks for SD on lots of 600m2 of greater)Alter the following clausesClause 1.3 – exceptionsClause 3.0 – definitionsClause 5.13 – Zone DVClause 5.21 – Zone CPClause 6.1 – General Height ControlClause 6.3 height control in Alice SpringsClause 7.1.2 – Residential height limitationsClause 7.3 – Building setbacks of residential Clause 7.3.2 – Distance between residential buildings and on-siteClause 8.1.2 – Offices, restaurants and shops in Zone CB and CClause 8.1.5 – Child Care centresClause 8.3 – Setbacks for Commercial Uses adjacent to land in Zones SD, MD, MR or HRRemove the following clausesClause 2.10 – Carports, pergolas and shade sails over existing car parking and multiple dwelling developmentClause – 6.11 – garages and shedsThe Property Council’s Planning and Infrastructure Committee will be lodging a submission.
