Property leaders Connect with Students at Curtin University

Property industry leaders were at Curtin University participating in a Property Education Foundation speed advice session that attracted 60 students including 3 from University of WA.

The students were undergraduates and postgraduates from various disciplines including property development & valuation/finance/marketing, accounting/taxation/banking, public relations, economics, law, engineering, construction, information systems & technology and science.

The Provost of Curtin University, Professor John Cordery gave a very warm welcome and thanked Property Education Foundation for its generosity and ongoing support of education and training of Curtin students.

“We really appreciate these industry leaders giving their time after work to share their knowledge with our students,” said Professor Cordery.

The Foundation has been providing annual scholarships to students and organising events to inform and guide property students in particular. The Foundation also arranges guest lecturers of different expertise to share information with the students.

The leaders were Lester Cousins – Valuer General at Landgate, Frank Marra – CEO at Landcorp, Tamara Heng – Partner at Lavan, Connie Low – Director, Property Finance at Bankwest, Andrew Byars – General Manager Property Investments at Perron Group, Justin Crooks – Development Director at Cedar Woods, Graham Postma – Managing Director at Savills, Andrew Howe – Director People & Place at Elements, and Tanya Steinbeck – Director at Department of Communities.
