Property industry supporting jobs and economic growth in Queensland
The property industry is the biggest creator of jobs in communities right across Queensland.
“From the tradies on building and construction sites through to real estate and building services and financial and professional services, the property industry is creating hundreds of thousands of jobs in local communities throughout the state,” Property Council QLD Executive Director Chris Mountford said.
“Nationally, the property industry is the largest employer in Australia supporting 1.4 million jobs which is more than mining and manufacturing combined.
“We see this every day in our local communities where our industry is driving economic activity and investment as it builds great places for current and future generations to live, work and play.”
Data released by the Property Council highlights the economic importance of the property industry in metropolitan and regional areas of Queensland.
