Property Council welcomes new member Sirona Capital

The Property Council welcomes new member Sirona Capital. We sat down with Matthew McNeilly, Managing Director to find out more about the company and what key projects they are current working on.

“Sirona Capital commenced operations in 2009 and is one of Western Australia’s leading real estate developers and investors,” Mr McNeilly said.

“Drawing on its founders’ investment banking and private equity origins, Sirona takes a big picture, thematic approach to its investment targets to initiate opportunities and development concepts. Our sector-focussed investment themes are built on extensive policy research and market segment analysis.

“Sirona has grown to become one of the largest private industrial land owners in the State, with significant estates planned at both Muchea and Bullsbrook. Sirona has also been an influential catalyst for the urban renewal that is occurring in the strategic metropolitan centre of Fremantle. Other investment themes being pursued include tourism, density and agriculture with Sirona having built an impressive pipeline of future development projects.

“Sirona has recently completed two major projects, the heritage award winning Heirloom by Match apartment project and Quest Fremantle, a 122-key apartment hotel.

“Importantly, Sirona is about to commence construction of its largest project to date, the A$270 million Kings Square precinct redevelopment, located in the heart of Fremantle’s CBD. The project is underwritten by a 15-year office lease to the Western Australian Government and includes 5,0sqm of retail space plus 840 car bays. It also includes the development of a new civic precinct for the City of Fremantle, comprising a new administration centre, City Library, and tourist visitor centre. Construction will be completed by the end of 2019,” Mr McNeilly said.
