Property Council members scoop SA Architecture AwardsSeveral members received recognition for their work on Friday 3rd July at the 2015 South Australian Architecture Awards. Most notably, Hames Sharley and Walter Brooke & Associates received the Jack McConnell Award for Public Architecture & Colorbond Award for Steel Architecture for their work on the Adelaide Oval Redevelopment in conjunction with Cox Architecture. The Adelaide Oval Redevelopment was also jointly awarded the City of Adelaide Prize along with the Riverbank Bridge which included Aurecon as part of the project team. Other members to receive awards were:The Gavin Walkley Award for Urban Design awarded to Adelaide City Council for Victoria Square Tarndanyangga Stage 1 The SA Chapter Award for Educational Architecture & Derrick Kendrick Award for Sustainable Architecture awarded to the Jeffrey Smart Building at University of South Australia John Schenk from University of South Australia was awarded the 2015 Sir James Irwin President’s Medal Congratulations to the above members on their awards and to all the other winners.
