Property Council members appointed to Heritage Council of WA

Heritage Minister David Templeman recently announced appointments to the Heritage Council of Western Australia, including several Property Council members. The appointments are the first to be made under the new Heritage Act passed last year.

Property Council members hold significant roles on the Heritage Council, with Landgate’s Anne Arnold re-appointed as Chair until the end of this year. Other members re-appointed to the Heritage Council include Lloyd Clark from Match Property, Nerida Moredoundt from Element and Fremantle Mayor Dr Brad Pettitt. Other re-appointments include Sally Malone and Jennifer Marschner, who will be joined by new appointees Leigh Barrett, the Hon John Cowdell and Richard Offen.

The Property Council congratulates the Heritage Council on the appointments and we’re delighted these include expertise from our membership. These appointments will ensure that WA’s heritage is properly considered and protected, drawing on the expertise of high-calibre professionals who have a unique understanding of the interaction between heritage issues and property.
