Property Council farewell 2020 at Christmas Lunch

The Property Council has capped off a remarkable year at the annual Christmas Lunch, attended by 1200 industry professionals and raising $31,6 for Act for Kids.

For much of 2020 it appeared as though the Property Council would have to forgo the annual Christmas lunch due to COVID-19. Fortunately, due to the easing of restrictions, 1200 industry colleagues were able to attend the event to say goodbye to a challenging 2020 and look forward to the opportunities facing Queensland’s property industry in 2021.

At the event Queensland President Bruce Harper rounded out his term as President by thanking members for their support during a COVID impacted 2020 and urging Government to confront the economic challenge and work with the industry to build on Queensland’s strong momentum in 2021.

Queensland’s Deputy Premier, Dr Steven Miles, also spoke at the event about how he and the Government were looking forward to working closely with the industry, particularly in his new capacity as Minister for State Development, Local Government, Infrastructure and Planning.

Attendees were treated to an entertaining performance from local comedian Damien Power, and following the formalities, the celebrations continued at the official after party, which featured live entertainment, more food, drinks and a buzzing atmosphere!

The Property Council would like to not only thank all event attendees but all members who have supported the Property Council throughout a difficult year.

Special thanks to those who donated at the event, their generosity will make a tangible difference to the lives of many children. If you would like to find out more about Act for Kids or to donate, please visit here.

The Property Council would also like to thank major event sponsor Rider Levett Bucknall for their 15 years of support of the Christmas Lunch, and Buildcorp, for their sponsorship of the official after party.

The Property Council wishes all its members and supporters a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
