Property Council Committees Spill: We Want You!
We are excited to announce that nominations for the Property Council’s industry committees are now open.
The Property Council’s committees are the heart of everything we do. Committee members help shape the industry’s future by working with our staff on policy, legislation and advocacy; member events; industry research; professional development courses and awards programs.
Being part of a committee allows you and your organisation to make a significant contribution to what matters most to the industry and helps build professional networks and knowledge of your staff.
All our members will receive an email on Monday (17th October) allowing them to nominate for one of our committees which include:

Industrial lands and infrastructure committee

Planning and urban economics committee

Retail management committee
-
Commercial management committee
-
Sustainable development committee
-
Residential committee
-
Future directions committee
-
Women and diversity committee
The nomination period will be open for two weeks and closes on 28th October. Current committee members will be required to renominate. Committee terms are two years commencing January 2017.
As part of our strategic objective of promoting women in property, we are committed to achieving our participation target of 40% women, 40% men and 20% discretionary. Achieving this target will shape our decisions regarding the committees.
Once the nomination period is complete, committee members will be chosen by the Property Council. Unfortunately, not everyone who nominates will be chosen.
