Private car park regulation threatens business activityA Bill which seeks to limit the ability of private car park owners to recover parking fees will punish all operators for the actions of a small minority, according to the Property Council.Writing to the Minister for Consumer Affairs, the Property Council identified how the Bill will lead to reduced levels of amenity for Victoria’s activity centres by limiting the ability of operators to provide convenient and safe access for customers. Our letter urges the Government to undertake greater consultation on this matter and consider alternative options presented by the business community for lifting industry standards.
