PIF annual charity challenge sets sailThe Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) annual charity sailing fundraising events will be held again this year, with proceeds going towards homeless and at-risk youth in NSW and Victoria.Two events will be run: the Annual Charity Yachting Regatta, sponsored by Colliers International, on Sydney Harbour on 13 March; and the Annual Charity Sailing Challenge, sponsored by Brookfield, hosted by the Royal Brighton Yacht Club on 20 March.Event organisers hope to raise more than $600,000 from the two regattas. Proceeds from the NSW event will go towards the construction of PIF House at Dundas for Wesley Mission, while funds raised in Victoria will go to Open Family Australia’s Chatterbox Bus Program, which provides services to disadvantaged youth throughout Melbourne’s CBD and Wyndham.Several companies have already registered to take part, including APN Property Group Limited, Australand Property Group, Brookfield, Brookfield Multiplex, Bunnings Group, CBRE, Cedar Woods, Charter Hall, DEXUS Property Group, EY, Federation Centres, Hacer Group, ICMG, Investa Property Group, Knight Frank, Lend Lease, Mirvac, Napier & Blakeley, Novion Property Group, Quintessential Equity, The GPT Group, Urbis and Walker Group. “We are delighted that so many companies continually come out and support the event and assist us in changing the lives of young people,” said Rosemary Smithson, national CEO of the Property Industry Foundation.For more information on the two events visit: www.pif.com.au/NSW and www.pifviccharitysailing.com.au
