He joined the firm in 2003 as associate director of Metropolitan Investment Properties and was promoted to director the following year. Among his significant transactions are the $73 million sale of the Hollywood Plaza Shopping Centre and the combined $73.75 million sale of City Central Tower 2 and 121 King William Street.Laycock assumes the role from Phil Rundle, who has moved into a new client-focused role as senior director – Capital Markets, Institutional Properties.In Melbourne, Colliers International has appointed Trent Hobart to the position of residential development director. He has eight-plus years’ experience as a director of valuation with CBRE, specialising in the residential market.Elsewhere at Colliers International, Philip O’Dwyer has joined the company’s investment services team as senior executive in Brisbane, with a focus on investment property sales in the city’s inner south. O’Dwyer joins Colliers from boutique agency First Commercial in east Brisbane.m3property has expanded its Residential Development Valuations team in NSW with the appointment of Jarrod Morgan as associate director. Morgan joins Ben Toole, another recent appointment to the team.Morgan has over six years’ experience with an international valuation firm that specialises in the valuation of medium- to large-scale residential and mixed-use development projects.And Places Victoria has appointed Peter Southwell, former Multiplex director and Probuild state manager, to the role of general manager, Development and Construction.Southwell has more than three decades’ experience in the property sector, in roles ranging from site manager, project manager and construction manager to business development manager.Places Victoria chief executive officer Gregory Anderson said Southwell would help the state government deliver a portfolio of medium- to high-density urban renewal projects.
