Kate Mills (pictured) is the new CEO of the Property Industry Foundation. Mills worked as a business journalist at Fairfax for seven years and was the editor of CFO and BRW magazines. She also served as the editor of the Property Council magazine, Property Australia. Most recently, Mills has been CEO of the Financial Executives Association, a member association for chief financial officers and finance executives. 

Anna Chau will act as chief executive of Infrastructure Australia until a replacement for Philip Davies is secured. Chau has been executive director of Infrastructure Australia’s project advisory division since October 2015 and was previously chief economist at AECOM Australia.

Industry heavyweight Michael Fenton is moving to Savills Australia to head up national industrial and business services as part of a country-wide company restructure. Fenton returns to Savills following nine-plus years at JLL, during which time he was Australian head of industrial and managing director in New South Wales. Fenton has previously held senior roles at Dexus and CBRE and has transacted more than $4.5 billion, including the recent $1 billion sale of the GIC Australian logistics portfolio to Ascendas REIT. Engineering and infrastructure advisory Aurecon has appointed Evelyn Storey as regional director for South East Queensland. Storey will be responsible for overall operations and will lead a team of 600 staff. Storey has worked on iconic buildings including Brisbane Airport’s award-winning international terminal redevelopment and CrossRail in the United Kingdom. 
Dermot Lowry
 joins Knight Frank as partner and head of occupier services for Australia. Lowry was previously The GPT Group’s director of leasing for its office and logistics business for four years. Knight Frank has recently transitioned 80 senior leaders across Australia to a consultancy model, which chief operating officer Aaron McGhee says responds to “more sophisticated occupiers demanding fully integrated property solutions”. Ray White Commercial Queensland has promoted Matthew Fritzscheto the role of partner. Fritzsche, who started his career as a town planner on the Gold Coast before moving into property valuation, advisory and sales,will focus on residential development sites throughout Queensland and in northern NSW. Architectus is expanding its services with a new studio in Perth. Mark Mitcheson-Low has been appointed managing principal to lead the studio. Mitcheson-Low was with Woods Bagot for nearly 22 years, most recently as regional executive chairman for Southeast Asia.  In response to strong development activity in the ACT, Belle Property Commercial has established Belle Property Retail Canberra. The agency will be led by director Nathan Dunn and will be focused on leasing and sales of mixed-use developments.
