People on the Move – 7 July 2015Philip Ling retires as co-CEO at Lasalle, Joel Ducey joins m3property, CBRE appoints new head of Capital Markets and three JLL Australian directors promoted to international director.Philip Ling, (pictured) co-chief executive officer, Asia Pacific, has retired from LaSalle Investment Management. He will remain as a non-executive director of the Responsible Entity of the firm’s Australian business. Mark Gabbay continues as sole CEO, Asia Pacific, for LaSalle.Ling joined LaSalle in 2007 to lead the management of the business in Asia, initially as managing director for the region and subsequently as CEO. In 2012, Ling moved to Australia to lead the Australian business as well as to continue to co-lead and rebuild the Asia Pacific business. m3property has expanded its valuations team in NSW, appointing Joel Ducey as associate director. Ducey, who has 10 years of experience in global property services and financial institutions, will focus on the valuation of larger scale industrial, commercial and retail assets in Sydney’s fringe, eastern suburbs and South Sydney markets. Mark Granter is moving into a newly created role as executive managing director, head of Capital Markets for the Pacific region at CBRE. Granter has been with CBRE for 26 years, most recently as executive managing director, Client Relationships & Projects.Also at CBRE, Matthew Sartori has joined the Sydney Metropolitan Investments team as a specialist in the aged care, retirement living and healthcare sectors. CBRE’s Building, Depreciation and Cost Consultancy team has been expanded with the appointment of Simon Freeth as a director, Consultancy, based in Melbourne, and Alastair Cardno as associate director, Building Consultancy, based in Sydney.JLL has announced a range of promotions including three senior directors of JLL to international director: Kevin Hastings as Australian head of Project & Development Services, Peter Hilderson as head of Engineering and Operations Solutions & Energy and Sustainability Services, Asia Pacific and Rob Sewell as head of Office Investments, Australia.Another four JLL directors have been promoted to Regional Director: Chris Key – Asia Pacific head of Corporate Finance, David Watson – WA head of Property & Asset Management, Jordan Berryman – director of Tenant Representation and Paul Noonan – NSW head of Sales & Investments.Some 151 members of the JLL Australia business have received a promotion this year, including the appointment of 25 new directors.Propell National Valuers has appointed Andrew Goding to the position of head of Commercial. Goding previously worked in the banking sector.
