Colliers International announces several new appointments, including George Marton to its consultancy business; John Barker moves to Mitchell Brandtman; CBRE has several new starters; and Mark Craig and Damon Moloney join Wood & Grieve Engineers’ Property Asset Management team.
Colliers International has bolstered its expanding consultancy business with the appointment of George Marton (pictured) to the role of director of Consultancy.
Marton has more than three decades’ experience in property in roles associated with residential developments through to major commercial projects.
Among his achievements are assisting Australia Post in the approval process for the Sydney GPO and taking the asset to market via a tender process. He was also project manager for the 800-dwelling Liberty Grove development. Marton’s work has required him to provide strategic advice to public and private clients regarding development, acquisition and divestment of property.
Shaun Hendy and Ashley McIntyre also join Colliers International, Hendy as director of valuation, Rural & Agribusiness, and McIntyre as executive – Industrial, based in the firm’s Melbourne North West office in Ravenhall.
Hendy comes to the Rural and Agribusiness team with more than 25 years’ experience and will be based in Colliers International’s Toowoomba and Brisbane offices. Most recently, he was director of Agribusiness Valuations at CBRE, where he specialised in broadacre irrigation, the farming and grazing sectors, and intensive livestock.
Hendy will take responsibility for the expansion of the valuation team in northern Australia to service traditional banking and private clients, institutions and investors.
McIntyre comes to the position of executive – Industrial with a broad range of agency experience, having previously worked within both the residential and industrial markets in Melbourne’s West with Sweeney Estate Agents and Ray White Laverton.
Quantity surveyor John Barker has been appointed to provide expert opinion on construction matters to Mitchell Brandtman.
Since moving to Australia from the UK, Barker has worked in Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane and, most recently, in Sydney for a major cost consultant and quantity surveying firm. He has also provided expert witness reports on defective building work claims, landlord and tenant disputes and insurance claims.
CBRE has announced that Jarrod Frazer has been promoted to the newly created role of head of Australian Valuations & Advisory Services. His appointment follows on from Tom Edwards’ promotion to the role of head of CBRE’s Valuations & Advisory Services business in the Asia-Pacific region.
On the Gold Coast, Sam Johnson has been appointed to CBRE Hotels as senior manager, a role that will require him to manage the retirement and leisure market.
And, in Brisbane, former Wallabies rugby player Brendan Cannon has joined CBRE’s Metropolitan Investments team. Previously general manager with telco Digicel and development manager with Charter Hall, Cannon joins the Metropolitan Investments team as an associate director.
Mark Craig and Damon Moloney have been added to Wood & Grieve Engineers’ (WGE) expanded Property Asset Management (PAM) team in its Sydney and Melbourne offices respectively. Craig joins the WGE PAM team having worked in the building services sector as both a consultant and contractor. Moloney joins the team with experience in data analytics, energy management and sustainability.
