People on the move – 6 June 2014DTZ appoints Gary Hollis head of Capital Markets, Asia-Pacific; AECOM bolsters its Planning division with infrastructure specialist Joe Langley; and Melinda van der Westhuizen rejoins JLL.Gary Hollis joins DTZ with more than 15 years’ experience in funds management and investment advisory in the Asia-Pacific region. He will be based in Singapore, where he will provide direction for the Capital Markets business and act as the key liaison for DTZ’s other Asia-Pacific investment teams.Hollis’s previous appointment was as chief executive and managing director for Archway Capital Partners in Singapore, where his key responsibilities included real estate acquisition and capital structuring.AECOM has also made a significant move this week with the appointment of government and industry adviser Joe Langley to its South Australia team. Langley joins AECOM as technical director for integrated transport and land use. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the property development, urban planning and infrastructure planning sectors.In other moves, Bill Redfern is retiring after 25 years with JLL. Stepping into his shoes as the company’s new head of Property and Asset Management for Victoria is Melinda van der Westhuizen.Van der Westhuizen is rejoining the company after three years with Baptcare. Prior to leaving JLL in 2010, van der Westhuizen was a national director at JLL Melbourne for 11 years.
