Knight Frank’s NSW valuations team, led by David Castles, moves to Cushman & Wakefield, while Savills bolsters its team in Melbourne with the appointment of Alexandra Teeuwsen. 

Knight Frank’s NSW valuations team, led by David Castles, is moving to Cushman & Wakefield. Castles, formerly Knight Frank’s national director of valuations, was with the agency for 14 years. The move follows Cushman & Wakefield’s recent acquisition of start-up brokerage Inc RE. 

Alexandra Teeuwsen has joined Savills Melbourne-based CBD metropolitan and sales division. Joining Savills from CBRE’s development site sales division, Teeuwsen takes on the role of senior analyst. 

Colliers has expanded its office leasing team in Sydney’s West, welcoming new director Alan James. Working in the Western Sydney since 2011, James has held roles with Knight Frank and LJ Hooker, as well as Chesterton in central London. 

The Australian Financial Review has announced its 100 Women of Influence for 2018 , and several built environment stars have made the list. Among the outstanding women are global chief executive of King & Wood Mallesons and former Property Council board member Sue Kench. Josephine Sukkar, principal of Buildcorp, is a member of the Property Council’s Diversity Committee in NSW. Siobhan Toohill, group head of sustainability and community with Westpac, is a former deputy chair of the Green Building Council of Australia board. Clare Sowden, general manager of development and investment for AECOM and Jingmin Qian, a non-executive director with Abacus Property Group, have also been recognised for their exceptional contributions.
