People on the move – 5 May 2015Colliers International appoints Shane Burns to its Melbourne CBD leasing team; Finn Jones becomes Place Design Group design director; and WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff appoints Graeme Deaker as Structures lead for NSW.Shane Burns has been appointed director of Colliers International’s Melbourne CBD office leasing team.Burns, who has 15 years’ experience in office leasing at CBRE, will work alongside directors Tony Landrigan and Andrew Beasley in his new role. The significant office building leasing deals on which he has worked include: Bourke Place, Rialto, Collins Square, 222 Exhibition Street, 321 Exhibition Street, 570 Bourke Street and 469 La Trobe Street.Place Design Group has appointed Finn Jones as its new design leader based on the Gold Coast.Jones has more than 20 years’ experience in the areas of urban design, master-planning, vision and city economic growth policy, and development. He was previously managing and design director of Space Cubed Architecture Studio, as well as Gold Coast City’s principal urban designer and architect, and chair of the Australian Institute of Architects – Gold Coast Region.WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed Graeme Deaker as Structures lead for NSW.Deaker has more than three decades’ experience nationally and internationally, including working on the 14-storey City Beach Hotel/Apartments in Wollongong, the Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Apartments in Abu Dhabi and The Quay Haymarket (currently under construction) in Sydney.
