David Waldren joins Vicinity Centres, the ACT Government’s Suburban Land Agency appoints John Dietz as its first chief executive officer and Frank Roberson moves on from NABERS.

David Waldren (pictured) has joined Vicinity Centres as its head of design. Waldren previously worked for Grocon, holding various roles including national head of design, and head of culture and innovation since 2001. Among Waldren’s many achievements, he oversaw the design and delivery of Grocon’s Pixel, considered one of the world’s most sustainable buildings.

John Dietz is the new Suburban Land Agency chief executive officer, with responsibility for delivering the ACT Government’s suburban development program, including urban renewal in established town centres and suburbs. Dietz joins the organisation from Defence Housing Australia, where he has been general manager since 2011.

Frank Roberson is moving to the NSW Department of Industry after six years in a variety of roles with the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS), including technical officer and communications manager.
