People on the Move – 29 November 2017

Leilani Frew will lead the new national Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency, Western Australia’s top real estate agent, Vivien Yap, joins Ray White, and Arup bolsters its energy team with Stephen Thompson.

Leilani Frew (pictured) has been appointed chief executive officer of the Australian Government’s Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency. This agency was established in the last federal budget to drive more private sector involvement in infrastructure development. Frew was involved in the establishment of the New South Wales Infrastructure and Structured Financing Unit and the implementation of the New South Wales Government’s major infrastructure program. Frew takes over from interim CEO, John O’Neil, who helped establish the new agency.

Western Australia’s top real estate agent, Vivien Yap, has joined the growing team in Ray White Western Australia. Yap, a qualified pharmacist, likens the property industry to her previous career, and says both require a consultative and evidence-based approach to solve problems for customers.

Arup’s Stephen Thompson has been tasked with building one of the most dynamic energy teams in the Australasia region. Thompson, who joined the global engineering consultancy in 2016, was previously group manager infrastructure at GHD. His energy team has doubled in size in the last 12 months, and is delivering the largest volume of transactions in the region.
