The Property Council has appointed a new executive director in charge of retirement living, Ben Myers, while JLL has bolstered its valuations team and Knight Frank has a new sustainable development strategist.
Ben Myers (pictured), an experienced executive leader with a deep background across corporate affairs, government, strategy, public policy and stakeholder engagement, was previously chief of staff to Queensland Premier Campbell Newman. He also held a strategy and communications role during Newman’s tenure as Lord Mayor of Brisbane. Property Council chief executive Ken Morrison says Myers will help “accelerate the continuing evolution of the Retirement Living Council”.
JLL has appointed Hanna Clarke as director of retail valuations, based in Sydney. Clarke joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a key player in its retail valuations group.
Knight Frank has appointed Davina Knox, formerly with the Green Building Council of Australia, in a newly-formed position of sustainable development strategist, town planning.
Bates Smart has four new leadership appointments. Cate Cowlishaw now heads up business development, while Mark Healey, Kellie Payne and Cian Davis are new studio directors.
