New CEO Danny Van D’huynslager steps into the shoes of Robert Simpson at Ethos Urban, AVID Property Group appoints two new development managers and Arcadis has a new chief financial officer.
Danny Van D’huynslager is the new chief executive officer of Ethos Urban. He steps into the shoes of Robert Simpson, who led the merger of boutique planning firms JBA in Sydney, Buckley Vann in Brisbane and Planisphere in Melbourne, and the rebrand to Ethos Urban. Van D’huynslager has held CEO roles for several international professional service firms in Europe, including: Nexxworks, a company he co-founded to help large corporations withstand the disruption of technology start-ups; and Celerant Consulting Group, a large management consulting firm with global reach. Van D’huynslager’s most recent position was director at Pollen Consulting Group, a niche Australian management consulting firm.
AVID Property Group has appointed two new development managers in Victoria. As senior development manager, Chris Monahan, previously with Capitol Property Group, will lead the delivery of the $1 billion, 1,658-lot master-planned Bloomdale community. Chris Ravat, formerly with Satterley Property Group, has joined AVID’s Savana project as its development manager.
Design firm Arcadis has a new Australian chief financial officer. Jonathan Taylor has more than three decades’ experience with Fortune 0 companies and has previously held roles with AECOM and engineering firm KBR. Taylor takes the reins from Darren English, who was recently appointed Arcadis’ new chief financial officer in North America.
Selin Incejoins Savills as a sales executive in its Sydney-based metropolitan and regional sales team. Ince was previously with CBRE, where she operated as an analyst within the occupier services division.
And Aurecon has appointed three new Australian leaders in its multidisciplinary advisory team. Nicole Walton and Belinda Coleman have been appointed regional service line leaders in WA and QLD/NT, respectively. Walton recently joined Aurecon from Main Roads Western Australia. Coleman has been a member of the Aurecon communication and stakeholder engagement management team since June 2016 and was previously with Transport for NSW. Fleur Laurence, formerly with Ausgrid, has been appointed 2IC regional service line leader for NSW and the ACT.
