Stockland’s long-time chief executive of commercial property, John Schroder (pictured) will take a step back from full-time executive responsibilities as former AMP Capital chief operating officer Louise Mason takes the reins. Schroder, a former Property Council board member, has been with Stockland for 12 years, and will move into a consultancy role from 2 July. Mason, a current Property Council director and NSW president, will join Stockland as group executive and CEO of commercial property after spending two years with AMP Capital. Stockland CEO and managing director Mark Steinert paid tribute to Schroder, saying he had transformed Stockland’s retail offering.
Architectus has appointed Richard Middleton as its new principal. Middleton previously ran his own Melbourne-based practice, RMA, focusing on student accommodation projects including RMIT’s prize-winning Walert House. Middleton will co-lead Architectus’ delivery of tertiary education projects.
Ettienne Jordaan joins Wood & Grieve Engineers in the NSW fire engineering team. Jordaan has worked on major tunnel projects in Sydney and Melbourne over the last three years.
Design and consultancy Arcadis has appointed Greg Harrison as business leader for advisory and sustainability in Australia. Harrison joined Arcadis in 2016, and previously worked as planning director with AECOM.
Real estate agency Century 21 has opened new offices in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales in the last six months, and to manage that growth has made new key appointments. Real estate veteran David Baliviera has been appointed as regional director of service and training for Australia and New Zealand. Amie Stickler joins the network as operations manager and will be servicing the national network.
