Propertylink appoints CEO; new President for Property Council in Victoria; Arup expands leadership team; principal architect appointed to Rothelowman; Former Crone partners move to Warren and Mahoney; and project managers join Colliers International.

Investment management company Propertylink has made changes to its executive team. Stuart Dawes has been appointed as chief executive officer. He has been Propertylink’s chief operating officer since 2014, in addition to his role of head of Investment Management since 2009. Managing director Stephen Day will take on the new role of executive director and also become vice chairman of Propertylink. The company has also promoted Casey Greenberg to general manager – Capital Transactions. He was previously National Capital Transaction, Industrial.

The Property Council of Australia has elected a new President in Victoria. Phil Soumilas will replace Carolyn Viney, outgoing CEO of Grocon, who has held the role since 2015. Soumilas is a past President of the Property Council in Victoria, a principal of Buildcom Australia, former managing director of Knight Frank Victoria and general manager – Commercial at MAB Corporation.

Arup has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of four new principals in the Australasian region, including three women. Acoustic specialist Finola Reid is the new Education leader for Arup, based in Melbourne. In Sydney, Kerryn Coker is the Architectural Engineering leader of a specialist group of facade and environmental engineers. Catherine Redden is the Commercial leader for Buildings in the Melbourne office and Tan Yoong Heng is the new Civil and Transport leader for Arup Singapore.

Two former partners from Crone have moved to architecture firm Warren and Mahoney. Nicholas Bandounas and Vish Kunjur will take up the positions as principals in the firm’s Sydney studio.

Design firm Rothelowman has appointed Michael Banak as principal architect in its commercial office division.  The former director of Crone Architects has worked on projects including 400 George Street, Sydney, Latitude at World Square, Sydney and 275 George Street, Brisbane.

Michelle Stone and Jenna Makey have joined Colliers International’s Melbourne East office as facilities managers. Stone was previously facility manager of Caulfield, Sandown and Mornington racecourses, facility manager and ESM compliance manager for Cameron Industrial and Commercial and Facilities and contract manager for Reliance Petroleum (BP). Makey joins Colliers from IAG Group, where she managed the company’s Victorian sites in Burwood East, Essendon, Mulgrave and Tullamarine.
