People on the MoveThe GPT Group and TH Real Estate name new CEOs; AMP Capital announces new MD; Lift specialist joins Waterman Group; Minter Ellison expands its real estate team.Bob Johnston (pictured) has been appointed as the new CEO of The GPT Group. Johnston has extensive experience in the property industry, including stints with Lendlease in Asia, the UK and the US, and is currently managing director of Frasers Australand. He headed up Australand for seven years prior to its takeover by Frasers in 2014. He will replace outgoing CEO and managing director Michael Cameron, who announced his resignation from GPT in April this year to take up the role as CEO and managing director of Suncorp Group.Rod Fehring, currently executive general manager Residential, has been promoted to chief executive at Frasers Australand.AMP Limited yesterday announced that Adam Tindall will assume the role of managing director AMP Capital following the upcoming retirement in October of current MD Stephen Dunne. Tindall is currently AMP Capital’s director and chief investment officer, Property, and a director on the Property Council of Australia’s board. AMP chief executive officer Craig Meller said, “Adam is a talented leader who’s played an integral role in developing AMP Capital’s strategy and has led the delivery of key projects over the last six years.”International investment management company TH Real Estate has promoted Mike Sales, currently managing director Europe, as its new CEO following the announcement of the retirement of James Darkin. Sales, who has been with TH Real Estate and its predecessor Hendersons for 21 years, will take over as CEO in September.Consultancy firm Waterman Group has appointed Glen Pederick as an associate director in its Melbourne office. Pederick is a specialist is lift technology and has over 25 years experience. He is also a member of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s advisory group.Minter Ellison has boosted its real estate team, adding three partners, two special counsel and four senior associates to its real estate, environment and planning practice. The new partners are Julie Purbrick and Luke Walker in Sydney and Leah Wright in Adelaide. Danielle Lim in Brisbane and Kathleen Ng in Sydney have been appointed as special counsel and the new senior associates are David Chin, Melbourne, Jonathan Chow, Sydney, Mica Millerson, Brisbane and Concetta Zappia in Adelaide.Colliers International has added to its industrial team in Victoria with the appointment of city fringe and Port Melbourne specialist Clinton Ramm as associate director in its Melbourne CBD office. Raine & Horne has moved its corporate offices in Queensland to the inner Brisbane suburb of Ascot and expanded its corporate team to include Alastair Kay as business support and development manager.
