Louise Joslin, fund manager of the AMP Capital Diversified Property Fund (ADPF), will retire midway through 2015 after 20 years with AMP Capital and 34 years in the property industry. In that time, she was also a director and NSW president of the Property Council.

Joslin will work with her successor, once he or she has been announced, to effect a smooth transfer of responsibilities.

Among Joslin’s achievements with the company is a stint of nine years as fund manager of the flagship Australian Core Property Portfolio. Late last year, she was also integral to the company’s acquisition of $4 billion in assets by ADPF and a successful capital raising by the fund.

AMP Capital head of Property Funds Management Chris Judd praised Joslin for the significant contribution she has made to the business. “Over the years, Louise has delivered time and again for our investors and our business, always with a high standard of excellence, a dedicated focus on performance and an unshakeable commitment to governance and integrity,” he said.

In New South Wales the Property Council has announced that Peta Fitzgerald has succeeded Amanda Kunkler to the role of regional director in the Illawarra following Kunkler’s resignation late last year. Fitzgerald joins the Property Council from NBN Co and brings with her substantial experience in the public and private sectors. She will oversee investment in policy research, member services and other resources required in the Illawarra.

At the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) Professor Ken Maher will take over from The Hon Tom Roper as President in February. The Property Council is a member of ASBEC.

Maher is a Fellow of HASSELL and a Professor with UNSW Built Environment. He is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects, chair of the City of Sydney’s Design Advisory Panel, a member of the Sydney Opera House Eminent Architects Panel and a board member of the Co-operative Research Centre for Low Carbon Living.
