People on the Move – 25 August 2015New appointments at the Property Council; CBRE reacts to increased capital flows from China; Martin O’Sullivan moves to Knight Frank; and Colliers grows its healthcare and retirement living team in Sydney and recruits a VFL player for its retail leasing office in Melbourne.The Property Council has made several new appointments to its HR, Communications and Policy teams.Sandra Rouco (pictured) has joined the Property Council in the newly created position of head of People and Culture. Rouco is an internationally experienced HR executive with expertise in organisation development and cultural transformation. She has previously held positions with The Sax Institute, Cancer Council NSW and Westpac Banking Corporation.In the Queenland office, Henry Pike is the new Communications and Policy officer. Pike joins the Property Council from his most recent role with the Queensland Farmers Federation. And in Canberra, the Property Council’s National Communications team has expanded with the appointment of Clare Butterfield as Media and Communications adviser.CBRE has announced the appointment of Yvonne Siew to a newly created role as executive director, International Capital, China. Siew has joined CBRE after a decade as head of the Asia Real Estate – Investments department at Citi Private Bank. She has more than two decades of experience handling industrial transactions for multi-national corporate clients, funds and institutions across Asia. In her new role, she will coordinate relationships and opportunities with private and institutional investors within the China market.In Queensland, CBRE has promoted Julie Magennis to head up its Gold Coast property management team. Magennis had led CBRE’s Brisbane property management team for the past four years and was this year named the REIQ Commercial Property Manager of the Year.Martin O’Sullivan has joined Knight Frank’s Capital Markets team in Melbourne as senior director, head of Institutional Sales. O’Sullivan has a 25-year history in the commercial property market having previously been the head of commercial institutional sales at CBRE and Colliers International. He has negotiated several major deals in Melbourne including the $246 million sale of 717 Bourke Street, the $195 million sale of 140 William Street and 330 Collins Street which sold for $110 million.Colliers International continues to grow its Healthcare and Retirement Living team, with the appointment of Liam Greentree as a valuer based in the Sydney CBD. Greentree has previously been part of the commercial valuation team at Herron Todd White where he focused on valuing caravan parks, manufactured housing estates, boarding houses and motels.In Melbourne, Colliers has appointed Daniel Noonan, a large format retail specialist, to its retail leasing team. Noonan, who plays for Port Melbourne in VFL, was most recently in charge of commercial and high street retail leasing at Fitzroys.Savills Australia’s Victorian office has recruited Melbourne real estate professional James Lockwood to its City Sales and Investments team. Lockwood’s appointment as associate director, follows a five-year stint with Fitzroys.
