People on the move – 25 August 2014Daniel Gannon appointed new SA executive director of the Property Council; Giam Swiegers becomes Aurecon CEO; Kevin Dundo appointed non-executive director at Wood & Grieve Engineers; Napier & Blakeley acquires Emancium; and Jeffrey Holmes becomes Woods Bagot director.Daniel Gannon leaves behind his position as director of media and communications for SA Opposition leader Steven Marshall to assume the SA executive director role at the Property Council. He previously worked as a corporate affairs adviser for the South Australian Cricket Association and a media advisor for then Opposition leader Isobel Redmond.Gannon is no stranger to the property industry, having assisted in running his family’s retirement village construction business from a young age. He commences the role on 22 September.At Aurecon, Giam Swiegers will assume the role of CEO after 12 years as CEO of Deloitte, Australia. He will take over from Paul Hardy in February 2015.Kevin Dundo has been appointed a non-executive director to the board of Wood & Grieve Engineers Limited. Dundo is a partner of HopgoodGanim Lawyers and a non-executive director of Imdex Limited and Red 5 Limited.Property, development and sustainability consultancy Napier & Blakeley has announced its acquisition of property asset management company Emancium and will rebrand as Napier & Blakeley Emancium Pty Ltd. Emancium will be closely associated with the Napier & Blakeley business but will trade as a separate entity within the group.The founders of Emancium, Craig Ryan and Stuart Winton, will lead the new entity as executive directors. Ryan said the company will provide specialised advice regarding efficient operations and life cycle management of building assets.At Woods Bagot, Jeffrey Holmes as been appointed as a director and member of the board. He has been with Woods Bagot since establishing the firm’s New York studio in 2008.Holmes has worked on numerous landmark architectural projects in New York and around the world, including commercial office, mixed-use, civic, transportation, education and science projects. In 2012 he was awarded a Presidential Citation by the American Institute of Architects for his contribution to the rebuilding of the World Trade Center.Woods Bagot has also appointed eight new principals to its global leadership team.
