Mirvac appoints a new head of residential, a caretaker CEO steps up at the Victorian Planning Authority and quantity surveyor Donald Cant Watts Corke responds to signs of retail construction growth.

Mirvac has appointed Stuart Penklis (pictured) as its new head of residential. Joining Mirvac in 2002, Penklis most recently led the industrial business. Penklis takes over from long-time head of residential John Carfi, who left Mirvac last year to become joint head of global property development at Dubai company Emaar Properties.

Sean Treweek joins Norman Disney & Young (NDY) in the newly-created international role of director for residential, hotels and entertainment. Treweek moves to NDY after eight years at WSP in senior roles.

The Victorian Planning Authority has appointed lead director for urban renewal Steve Dunn as acting chief executive while it seeks a long-term replacement for outgoing chief executive Peter Seamer.

Quantity surveying firm Donald Cant Watts Corke today has appointed Mark Vass as a senior level director of its Victorian quantity surveying team to support the significant signs of retail construction industry growth.
