People on the Move – 24 November 2015Media and communications role at the Property Council; m3property expands Sydney office; changing of the guard at Knight Frank WA; Cardno appoints general manager Asia Pacific; Bates Smart grows its leadership team; and Colliers moves into prestige lifestyle market.The Property Council of Australia is searching for a senior corporate affairs/communications professional to join the organisation on the departure of the current head of Media and Communication Fiona Benson. The successful candidate will drive and implement integrated communication strategies and campaigns, monitor the media environment, identify emerging issues and maintain influential relationships with key media. Acting as an internal advisor to the Chief Executive, you will also play a lead role overseeing website content, overhauling our digital and social media platforms, marketing communications and collateral, and drive internal communications, whilst leading a small communications team. Heath Crampton will take on responsibility for development and management of the retail division as national retail director. Crampton has previously held senior positions with Lendlease, Colliers International and Urbis. Trent Hession has joined the commercial valuation and advisory team as associate director Commercial. He formerly worked at Commonwealth Bank and Colliers International.Following the retirement of John Corbett as WA managing director of Knight Frank in June next year, current head of Knight Frank’s Asset Management Services in WA, Craig Dawson, will step into the MD role. Corbett has been with Knight Frank for 16 years.Infrastructure and environmental services consultancy Cardno Limited has confirmed the appointment of Paul Gardiner as general manager Asia Pacific. Gardiner has been acting in the role since the beginning of 2015, as well as being the general manager Americas. He has been with Cardno for 18 years in senior positions in Australia, the Middle East and, more recently, the US and Latin America. Architecture firm Bates Smart has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of three new studio directors: Basil Richardson, Steve Jones and Robert Graham.Colliers International has moved to expand into the prestige and lifestyle rural and residential market with the appointment of Deborah Cullen as director, Lifestyle Estates. Cullen most recently headed up Unique Estates Sydney and has also worked with Belle Property and McGrath Estate Agents. Also at Colliers, Anthony Kirwin has joined the Melbourne City Sales team as an executive.
