Carolyn Viney to move on from Grocon; Lendlease announces changes to leadership team; Aurecon makes three new appointments; Frasers hires retail asset manager; and CBRE promotes former Wallaby and expands Capital Markets team.

After two years in the top job at Grocon, Carolyn Viney (pictured) will leave the company at the end of June.

Viney, who is also a director of the Property Council of Australia and Victorian President, joined Grocon in 2003. She was appointed chief executive officer in February 2014, having been deputy CEO to Daniel Grollo for two years.

Following the recent departure of Rod Leaver, Lendlease has announced changes to its Global Leadership team. From May 2016, Tony Lombardo will be chief executive officer, Asia. Lombardo joined Lendlease in 2007 and in 2011 was appointed group chief financial officer, a role to be taken over in May by Tarun Gupta. Gupta joined Lendlease in 2004 and was appointed chief executive office, Property Australia in 2012.

Former Lendlease executive Andrew Muller has joined engineering and consulting firm Aurecon as chief financial officer. Muller was with Lendlease for 18 years, most recently as CFO of Lendlease Construction & Infrastructure Australia.

Aurecon has also appointed Michael Shirley as managing director, Clients and a member of Aurecon’s Executive Committee. Shirley has worked on large infrastructure projects across Asia Pacific, America and the Middle East, most recently at Jacobs, where he was group vice president ANZ Infrastructure and Environment. The third recent appointment at Aurecon is Maureen Thurston as Global Design to Innovate director. Thurston, who is Chair of Good Design Australia and an adjunct professor at UTS, joins Aurecon from Deloitte.

Frasers Property Australia has appointed Felicity Armstrong as national retail asset manager. Armstrong has previously held senior roles with Stockland.

Former Wallabies player Matt Dunning has joined CBRE’s Advisory & Transactions Industrial Occupier Services team as an associate director. Dunning joined CBRE in March 2014 as a senior negotiator in the firm’s South Sydney Industrial office. This followed a role as a business development manager at Workarena Pty Ltd and a 12-year professional rugby career with the Australian Rugby Union.

In Brisbane, CBRE has expanded its Capital Markets team with Tom Phipps joining the company as senior director, Institutional Investment Properties. Phipps was most recently national director of Colliers International’s Capital Markets team and previously worked at Valad Property Group.

Architecture firm Fender Katsalidis has announced several appointments including new directors Mark Murphy and Roland Catalani and Lucien Fender as associate director. Jessica Lee, Joe Venuto and Shem Kelder have been appointed as associates.

Colliers International has appointed Tim McIntosh as an executive with the company’s Retail Investment Services team, based in Melbourne. McIntosh was previously with Savills.

Sydney residential agency Di Jones Real Estate is to merge with LJ Hooker Wahroonga. The new entity will trade as Di Jones Real Estate under the leadership of Rob Ward as chief executive officer and Kylie Walsh as general manager.
