People on the Move – 22 September 2015Architecture firms announce promotions; W&G makes sustainability appointment; Centuria Capital makes changes in unlisted division; Colliers hires for new division and lures office director back to North Sydney.Sydney-based Sarah Kay has been promoted to director and has become a member of the strategic board at Woods Bagot. The architecture firm has also appointed Gary Power in Sydney and Jo Dane in Melbourne to principal as well as eight other principals in their international offices of Hong Kong, London, Beijing and Dubai. Bates Smart has announced promotions in its Sydney and Melbourne studios. Promoted to associate are Lucy Matthews, Amelia Donald, Kellie Burke, Wai Fung Chin, Johan Hermijanto, Robert Page, David Eskdale and Jason Fraser. Justin Gallagher. Hayden Crawford, Cate Cowlishaw, Jana Somasundaram, Joachim Clauss and Torsten Fiedler have been made associate directors. Alexander Kobler has been appointed as sustainability project engineer at Wood & Grieve Engineers in Sydney. Kobler is a sustainable design consultant and has been involved in projects including the Green Star submission on 200 George Street, One Central Park for Basix compliance and developing the sustainability plan for the Walsh Bay Art Precinct upgrade.Centuria Capital has made two promotions in it unlisted property division. Victor Georos has been appointed head of Portfolio and Asset Management and Stuart Wilton is the new Portfolio manager.As part of the establishment of a new division, Workplace Management Services, Colliers International has hired James Armstrong as its national director. The new division, aimed at corporate occupiers requiring high performance workplaces, will incorporate front-of-house management, workplace management and advisory services.Elsewhere, Dan Walker has returned to Colliers as office director, North Sydney. Walker joined Colliers in 2011 in the office leasing division. In March this year he moved to another agency.Craig Tennant has joined Arcadia Landscape Architecture as an associate. Most recently, Tennant was the station lead landscape architect for the North West Rail Link for Cudgegong Road, Bella Vista, Rouse Hill and Cherrybrook Stations. He has worked on a number of large-scale projects in master planning, urban design and residential development.
