Glenn Byres to resign as Property Council chief of policy and housing; Hacer Group expands its team with a new general manager in NSW, Quentin Howell. Meanwhile, CBRE in Adelaide continues to grow, with Daniel Lang jumping on board as property manager.
After eight years at the Property Council, chief of policy and housing Glenn Byres (pictured) will be resigning in February 2018 and making his long-planned move to the NSW North Coast. Byres has served as NSW executive director and national policy chief. Farewells will occur next year!
Design and construction firm Hacer Group has expanded into Sydney, and has appointed new general manager Quentin Howell. Howell, who has worked for Tier 1 construction companies in a range of senior roles, will be based in Pyrmont.
AS CBRE grows its industrial management team in Adelaide, Daniel Lang joins the firm in a property manager role. Lang, who comes from JLL, will manage a mixed portfolio and will focus primarily on commercial and industrial assets.
Bates Smart has promoted three staff to directorships. Matthew Allen’s portfolio includes award-winning projects across residential, student housing, civic, hotel and mixed-use schemes. Julian Anderson is an established member of Melbourne’s design and property community. And Mathieu Le Sueur has worked on some of Bates Smart’s most progressive residential and commercial high rise projects and competition wins.
Meanwhile, Architectus, has promoted Jeremy Deale to principal and shareholder. Deale, who joined the firm in 2012, has worked Brookfield Office Properties Wynyard Place and the new Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences building at the University of Sydney.
Domenic Caprarelli has joined property and infrastructure specialist APP as project director. Caprarelli will start work on the mixed-use Bathurst Street Development in Sydney’s CBD.
