People on the Move – 22 November 2016Two Stockland stalwarts, Amy Menere and Sarah Watts, are promoted, Cushman & Wakefield builds its team and Defence Housing Australia confirms the appointment of its managing director.Amy Menere has been promoted by Stockland to the role of general manager stakeholder relations. Amy has been with Stockland for more than a decade. Sarah Watts, who has been with Stockland for nine years, has been appointed senior manager of group strategy.Cushman & Wakefield has a new managing director for commercial real estate in Victoria, with Dominic Long joining the team after more than 10 years heading up Savills Victoria. Cushman & Wakefield has grown its Australian team by around 100 new agency appointments over the last 18 months.Jan Mason has been appointed managing director of Defence Housing Australia. Mason had acted in the role for a year, and was previously deputy secretary of the Department of Finance for seven years.Multidisciplinary architectural practice Warren and Mahoney has appointed Richard Weinman as principal to head its Melbourne studio. Weinman was previously lifestyle sector leader with Woods Bagot and an associate director with Fender Katsalidis Architects.Nick Alsop joins the Green Building Council of Australia on a term contract in the role of senior manager of market engagement. Alsop has been leading sustainability programs for Fishermans Bend urban renewal project on behalf of the City of Port Phillip.And Anthony Palamara has been promoted to director of the Buchan Group’s Sydney office, after five years as design director for all projects.
